![]() ![]() There continue to be good deals on the lower tier RDNA 2 cards like the RX 6650 XT for $259, or RX 6600 for $199 - that last brings back memories of the RX 570 glut in 2018. ![]() ![]() Note that the arrival of the RTX 4070 basically forced a reduction in pricing on all of AMD's Navi 21 parts, with the RX 6950 XT temporarily going below $599 to compete. On the AMD side, the RX 6950 XT can be had for $619, the 6900 XT is basically discontinued (starting at $949), and RX 6800 XT starts at $509, and the RX 6800 begins at $479. The RTX 3060, RTX 3050, or maybe RTX 3060 Ti are about as high as you'd want to look, with models from Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, PNY, and Zotac that aren't too egregiously priced. Previous generation RTX 30-series and RX 6000-series cards are generally not worth considering now, at least on the Nvidia side, unless you're after a sub-$400 card. It seems supply has finally caught up to demand, though prices for the latest generation GPUs are all still very high compared to their previous generation counterparts' MSRPs. The ASRock 7900 XT, Sapphire RX 7900 XT Pulse, and XFX 7900 XT are at Newegg for $799–$809, making that GPU far more enticing, while the cheapest XTX cards are the ASRock RX 7900 XTX and PowerColor RX 7900 XTX for $959–$989. The same goes for RTX 4070 Ti that launched in January and has been mostly available with a starting price of $800, and the latest RTX 4070 lands with many $599 models in stock.ĪMD's Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT can also be found for their base MSRPs, sometimes below that mark. The GeForce RTX 4080 can be found starting at MSRP as well, with multiple RTX 4080 cards listed at Newegg. The GeForce RTX 4090 was routinely sold out for a few months, but cards are now available at Newegg and Amazon at or close to MSRP. Unfortunately, the MSRPs on the latest generation parts are sometimes quite a bit higher than their previous gen equivalents - like the $7 Ti compared to the $5 Ti. In fact, with PC and PC component sales slumping, there are even some deals to be had, with some cards now selling below MSRP. Thankfully, the time of GPU shortages and overpriced (relative to MSRP) cards is now past. A few other parts have swapped places, based on current pricing and availability. The big news is the entrance of the RTX 4070 onto the scene, which takes the place of the previous generation RTX 3080 - it's basically the same performance with new features, for less money and with far better power efficiency. ![]()
